People working for justice, peace and a sustainable future in the Southeast are invited to join in this long weekend of workshops, trainings, strategizing, and direct action! All who are committed to peaceful action are welcome, regardless of prior experience. All ages and skill levels welcome.
We will train -- build skills -- and bring people who are doing strategic work to lead workshops on Social Justice and Peace as well as Energy and Climate Justice campaigns active in our region, and strategies to confront the military-industrial complex as it manifests in our region. We will work together to hone "tried and true" tactics -- and maybe dream up new ones to try! Our schedule leaves open time and flexibility to include the wisdoms that everyone brings! On Monday we put it together and take it off-site (Action to be announced).
The camp will be hosted on a beautiful site with a swimming pond almost on the state line between the Carolinas, a short 40 minutes South of Asheville. Camping at the site or accommodations in town are available. See Housing information here.
United, we will build the power needed for real change. Let's end the coal industry's stranglehold on our region and also reject the deadly nuke industry's bid as the (false) solution to the climate crisis, by tackling oppression with our communities to RECLAIM POWER together.
Workshops will include: community organizing, anti-oppression, direct action 101, debunking false solutions to climate change, blockades, sustainable living systems, media, disaster response, street medic training, 197 methods of non-violent direct action, fighting nukes and coal, and much more. Program Schedule is under construction -- and available here.

ACTION MEDIC TRAINING -- A submersion program -- participants will be part of camp life, but take a separate "track" of trainings focused expressly on becoming qualified to serve your community as a medic during non-violent direct actions. For more info and to register into this program visit our Action Medic Training page.
RECLAIM POWER SOUTHEAST Action Camp will culminate in a collective action on Monday August 22 -- this will be open, announced, inclusive of all who want to join and a non-violent expression of free speech. Please plan to stay!
Folks from outside the Southeast are welcome, but the focus of the global issues of energy, conflict and society will be how the Southeast is impacted. This Action Camp is in the spirit of a Southeast Convergence for Climate Action -- but shorter.
